MACK FAMILY FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS

University of Louisville basketball coach Chris Mack and his wife, Christi, helped 100 local inner-city kids get ready to go back to school by donating backpacks and other essential supplies through the Mack Family Foundation.The donation from the Macks was dropped off at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana on Thursday and will be distributed to children within the organization.
The event started last year to help elementary school students living in the inner-city have the items they need to go back to school with more self-confidence and an excitement for the new school year.The Macks hope to reach even more kids this year and are encouraging other community members to support the Mack Back to School Program by donating to the Mack Family Foundation.The cost of supplies for each child is $200, and their goal is to help 100 more kids.
