Coach Chris Mack, Christi Mack announce new community impact program for the Mack Family Foundation & provide 15,000 meals to students with initial launch

Last week, Louisville Cardinals Men’s Basketball Head Coach
Chris Mack and his wife, Christi, officially announced the newest community
impact program for the Mack Family Foundation: Food for Thought.
Food for thought is a food security program created to
directly impact inner-city elementary students in Louisville. Throughout each
year, the Food for Thought program plans to distribute 45,000 meals to students
in need through food pantries located in schools and a meal distribution day to
provide ample food over summer break when students are most food insecure.
The first Food for Thought pantry was launched last week at
Layne Elementary, a Jefferson County Public School. Over 79% of students at
Layne Elementary qualify for free or reduced lunch. This food pantry will
provide over 15,000 meals to students over the next year.
