On February 21st, Coach Mack and wife Christi unveiled their
newest ‘Coach Mack’s Corner’ to the students at Lincoln Elementary Performing
Arts School. This Coach Mack’s Corner was presented by Stock Yards Bank &
Trust Co and featured Mack-themed wall decals, a seating area for the students
to read and bookshelves stocked with hundreds of age-appropriate books. During
the event, Coach Mack spent time talking about the importance of reading and read
the students his favorite children’s book to generate interest in the new
reading space.

The Macks were joined by the President of Stock Yards Bank
& Trust Co, Phil Poindexter, Superintendent of Jefferson County Public
Schools, Marty Pollio, Principal of Lincoln Elementary, Susan French, and 5th Grade
students at the school to cut the ribbon and officially open the newest Coach
Mack’s Corner. Natalie Grise of WLKY Louisville served as the program’s emcee.

Coach Mack’s Corner is the signature community outreach
program of the Mack Family Foundation. Partnering with local inner-city
elementary schools in Greater Louisville, the program renovates unused
classroom or space within the school and turns it into a reading oasis,
complete with shelving, comfortable seating and hundreds of books. Since
launching in 2017, Coach Mack’s Corners have been previously installed in eight
other schools across Ohio and Kentucky and impact thousands of students daily.
