MACK FAMILY FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS
Chris and Christi Mack Hold Inaugural 'Sneaker Ball' in Louisville to Support Mack Family Foundation

LOUISVILLE (MAY 24, 2019) – On Thursday
evening, University of Louisville Cardinals Basketball Head Coach Chris Mack
and his wife, Christi, hosted their Sneaker Ball Charity Event at the Omni
Louisville Hotel to benefit the Mack Family Foundation and its community
outreach programs.

The Macks and
Louisville celebrities, including Luke Hancock and Lancaster Gordon, mingled
with over 177 guests over the course of the evening that opened with a cocktail
reception and silent auction and closed with dinner and a live auction.
|
The charity event
raised nearly $100,000 to support the Mack Family Foundation, including a $15,000
personal pledge from the Macks.
|
"For
people to take the time to come out to find out what our foundation is all
about. It’s all about serving and inspiring kids here in the city of
Louisville," said Chris Mack.
|
Kent Taylor, anchor at WAVE 3 News and four-time winner of Kentucky
TV Sportscaster of the Year, served as the emcee of the evening.
|
Since its
launch in 2016, the Mack Family Foundation has installed six Coach Mack’s
Corners, collectively providing 3,850 books and 80 magazine subscriptions to more
than 2,500 students daily.

The proceeds
from Thursday evening’s Sneaker Ball will support the next Coach Mack’s Corner in
Louisville, providing in-need students with access to the tools they need to
improve their literacy and an environment that will foster a lifelong love of
reading.
